ASSAULT AND DRUG CHARGE

(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) - On August 28, 2017 at approximately 5:21 p.m. Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a family dispute on Sideroad 6 in the Township of Chatsworth which had resulted in a physical altercation.

Police attended and subsequently arrested a 28-year old male for assault. The victim, a 69-year old male suffered a minor injury.

The accused is charged with assault and possession of methamphetamine. He is in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for August 29, 2016 in Owen Sound.

PEDESTRIAN SUFFERS SERIOUS INJURIES

(BROCKTON, ON) - On August 28, 2017 at approximately 1:00 p.m., South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), together with Bruce County Paramedic Services (EMS), responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Concession 2 SDR in the Municipality of Brockton.

Investigation revealed that a Dodge Ram pick-up truck hauling an enclosed farm trailer was travelling eastbound on Concession 2 SDR when a pedestrian entered the travelled portion of the roadway into the path of the vehicle.

A 26-year old Brockton woman was transported to an area hospital. She was air lifted to a London hospital with serious, life-altering injuries.

The driver of the truck, a 39-year old male from Mildmay, Ontario was not at fault. He was not injured.

UTTERING THREATS

(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) - On August 29, 2017 at approximately 1:52 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a threats complaint following a neighbour dispute which resulted in the arrest of a 54-year old male from Dundalk in the Township of Southgate.

The accused, who had uttered a threat to a neighbour which involved the use of a firearm was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm.

A search warrant was executed at the man's residence. No firearms or ammunition were located.

The accused was held for a bail hearing scheduled on August 30, 2017. His next court appearance is August 31, 2017 in Owen Sound.

PICK-UP TRUCK STOLEN FROM DRIVEWAY

(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) - On August 30, 2017 at approximately 3:02 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a resident on Miller Street in the Municipality of Meaford reporting that someone had just stolen their pick-up from the driveway and was seen heading eastbound on Miller Street.

The truck was described as a silver, 2005 Dodge Ram 2500, with a large black cap on the back, with VIN 3D7KS28D45G770295, bearing Ontario licence plates 6636WK.

Information was received that the vehicle was last seen heading westbound into Owen Sound.

FATAL SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) - Grey Road 4 between Grey Road 14 and the Artemesia-Glenelg Townline in the Municipality of Grey Highlands is closed to traffic. Police were dispatched to a report of a collision on Grey Road 4 at 6:12 a.m. this morning, August 31, 2017.

A Jeep Compass sport utility vehicle (SUV) was travelling westbound on Grey Road 4. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled down a steep embankment. The vehicle came to rest on its roof partially submerged in a pond located on the north side of Grey Road 4.

The deceased has been identified as 56-year old Mary DAVIEAU of Brampton, Ontario

Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TTCI) is at the scene investigating a fatal - single vehicle collision.
