OPP SEARCH FOR MISSING PERSON-PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE REQUESTED

(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) - On March 6, 2017 at 9:19 p.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a missing /overdue person from a residence in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.

30-year-old, Niram SHOULDICE of South Bruce Peninsula was reported missing/overdue, as family has been unable to make contact with him.

The last verbal contact with Niram was on March 2, 2017 at approximately 9 p.m. It has been reported Niram was observed walking downtown Owen Sound on March 8, 2017 at approximately 3 p.m.

If anyone has had recent contact or may know the whereabouts of his location, please contact the Bruce Peninsula OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 519-534-1323.

The missing/overdue person is described as:
* Male
* 5 feet 10 inches tall
* 160 lbs
* Short dark brown curly hair and clean shaven.
* Brown eyes.

Last observed wearing a Heavy black Jacket with hoodie.

IMPAIRED DRIVER COLLIDES WITH SNOWPLOW

(HURON TWP, ON) - On March 11, 2017 at 9:50 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a crash involving a snow plow at the intersection of Highway 21 and Bruce County Road 6 in Huron Township. Officers arrived to find that a Silver Honda Civic had collided with a Yellow Western snow plow. The driver of the Civic was found to have been drinking alcohol.

Twenty-one-year old Taylor NEEB of Huron-Kinloss Township was charged with operate over 80 milligrams, disobey stop sign and window obstructed. She is scheduled to appear in court on April 5, 2017 to answer to the charges. There were no injuries reported at the scene.

ALCOHOL RELATED OFFENCES DURING R.I.D.E.

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) - On March 11, 2017, at approximately 12:55 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program in the area of Hwy. 6 & 21 on the Sunset Strip in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Of the 34 vehicles checked, four roadside breath tests were conducted resulting in two, 3-day "warn" range driver's licence suspensions. Police also issued three Provincial Offence Notices under the Liquor Licence Act.

Grey County OPP remind motorists that any amount of alcohol or drug can impair your ability to drive and should you be stopped by police, and register a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) in the "warn" range of .05 to .08, you could face an immediate driver's licence suspension.

Should you register a "fail", you may be arrested for impaired driving and face penalties which include a 90 day driver's licence suspension, vehicle impoundment, and a court appearance.

Should you "refuse or fail" to provide a suitable sample of your breath when the demand is made of you by a police officer, you may face the same consequences and penalties as that of impaired driving.

Motorists and residents alike are urged to call 9-1-1 if they suspect someone is driving, or is about to drive, while impaired by alcohol or drug.

POLICE INVESTIGATE COLLISION INVOLVING SCHOOL BUS - NO INJURIES

(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) - On Thursday, March 9, 2017, at approximately 8:47 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision between a 2009 International - First Canada School Bus and a 2013 Mercedes vehicle on Sideroad 10 at Concession 2 in the Township of Chatsworth.

There were 36 students on board the bus at the time of the collision. No one was injured. Damage to vehicles was minimal.

The driver of the Mercedes, 22-year old Nowfal AKHRAS, of Mississauga, Ontario, was charged with fail to share half roadway - meeting vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

POLICE INVESTIGATING BREAK, ENTER AND THEFT

(BRANT TWP, ON) - On February 27, 2017 at 4:28 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break, enter and theft from an address in the 1200 block of Concession 12 in Brant Township. Sometime between 5:00 p.m. on February 26, 2017 and 4:00 p.m. on February 27, 2017, a number of trailers on the property were forcibly entered.

The list of missing property includes: 2 large metal tool boxes, 2 Echo chainsaws, 125 cc Honda dirt bike, 50 cc Honda dirt bike, Baja 90 All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV), Fortney Welder and an Alpine compound bow. The value of the stolen property estimated to be more than $5,000.

SUSPENDED DRIVERS TO APPEAR IN COURT

(GREY COUNTY, ON) - Two suspended drivers have been issued Part III Summonses to appear in court after they were found operating motor vehicles.

On March 12, 2017, at approximately 7:49 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Sykes St. N. in the Municipality of Meaford. The driver of the 2017 Dodge Ram pick-up truck was found to be suspended. The 44-year old male from Barrie, Ontario, is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on May 29, 2017.

On March 13, 2017, at approximately 1:44 a.m., Grey County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Grey Rd. 4 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. The driver of the 2010 Kia Rondo was found to be suspended. The 28-year old male, from Owen Sound, is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on May 8, 2017.

His passenger, a 48- year old male from Arran-Elderslie Township, was charged with "cause motor vehicle to operate without insurance" under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA). He is scheduled to appear in court on May 8, 2017. The vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
