Grey Bruce County OPP Reports - Mar. 07, 2017

(BRANT TWP, ON) - On March 3, 2017 at 10:39 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a Red pick-up truck in the ditch along Concession 2 in Brant Township. Officers arrived to find a Red Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck had left the roadway and was stuck in the ditch.

The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. Fifty-two-year old Steven STRADER of Brockton was charged with impaired care or control and care or control over 80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 5, 2017 to answer to the charges. There were no injuries reported at the scene.

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) -On March 1, 2017 at 12:44 p.m., a Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a white 2014 Ram Pick-up truck for driving more than 50 kilometers over the posted speed limit, on 6 and 10 Highway, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs, ON. Police seized and impounded the vehicle for seven days.

A 23-year-old driver from Markdale, ON, has been charged with race a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear at the Owen Sound Court of Justice on March 20, 2017 to answer to the charges.



(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) - On March 2, 2017 at 11:53 pm., the Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a missing/overdue person from a residence in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

18-year-old Casaundra BOORTZ-BROWN of Georgian Bluffs was reported missing/overdue as she failed to return to her residence last evening. If anyone has had any contact after 9:00 p.m., on the evening of March 2, 2017, or may know the whereabouts of Casaundra's location, Please contact the OPP the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 794-7827.

The missing/overdue person is described as: Female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, Blue hair shaved on the sides and approximately 4 inches long on the top and Blue eyes and wears glasses
